PROGRAMARI LLIURE PER A UNA SOCIETAT LLIURE!
Els integrants de l'Escamot Espiral EXPOSEM:
- Que portem força anys intentant convèncer als moviments socials de Barcelona i rodalies que el programari lliure és una opció més ètica, més socialment justa i més coherent que no pas usar sistemes operatius privatius com Windows o Mac.
- Que en veure que no donarem suport tècnic (que tampoc es rep usant programari privatiu) ens donen llargues dient que la informàtica només és una eina, que no tenen temps per aprendre alternatives lliures...
- Que molts integrants dels moviments socials usen com a correu electrònic hotmail, gmail o yahoo, exposant així les nostres xarxes de comunicació a grans multinacionals i donant l'esquena als servidors autogestionats.
- Que també s'envien contínuament fitxers amb formats privatius de Word, PowerPoint o Excel, existint alternatives lliures molt similars.
A partir de tot això DECLAREM:
- Que ja n'estem fartes de ser únicament "esas frikis del Linux".
- Que ja en tenim prou d'excuses. No és més esforç passar-se a GNU/Linux que enfrontar-se a la policia en manifestacions, afrontar desallotjaments o patir quotidianament el sistema que ens ha estat imposat.
- Que passem a l'acció directa: tot ordinador que ens trobem amb Windows serà immediatament convertit a GNU/Linux, sense pietat.

Espiral Komandua gara eta zerbait esaterik dugu. Gure komunikatua irakurtzera etorri gara:

- Denbora pila daramagu Bartzelona eta inguruko giza mugimenduei ea buruan sartzen zaien, software librea aukera etikoago, gizarterako zuzenago eta koherenteago GNU/linux erabiltzea, eta ez jabedun sistema eragile, Windows edo Mac bezala.
- Laguntza tekniko ez dugula emango ikusirik (jabedun software erabiltzen ezta), paso egiten dute esanez informatika soilik tresna bat dela, ez daukatela denborarik alternatiba askeak ikasteko...
- Giza mugimenduko partaide asko posta elektronikoa bezala erabiltzen dute:
hotmail, gmail edo yahoo, eta lortzen dutena da gure komunikazio sareak multinazional handietara erakustea.
- Aldi oro, Word, Powerpoint edo Excel jabedun formatu duten fitxategiak bidaltzen dira, nahiz eta oso antzeko alternatiba aske egonda.
Beraz, AZALTZEN dugu:

Los integrantes del Escamot Espiral EXPONEMOS:
- Que llevamos bastantes años intentando convencer a los movimientos sociales de Barcelona y cercanías que el software libre es una opción más ética, más socialmente justa y más coherente que no usar sistemas operativos privativos como Windows o Mac.
- Que al ver que no daremos soporte técnico (que tampoco se recibe usando software privativo) nos dan largas diciend que la informática sólo es una herramienta, que no tienen tiempo para aprender alternativas libres...
- Que muchos integrantes de los movimientos sociales usan como correo electrónico hotmail, gmail o yahoo, exponiendo así nuestras redes de comunicación a grandes multinacionales y dando la espalda a los servidores autogestionados.
- Que también se envían contínuamente ficheros con formatos privativos de Word, PowerPoint o Excel, existiendo alternativas libres muy similares.
A partir de todo esto DECLARAMOS:
- Que ya estamos hartas de ser únicamente "esas frikis del Linux".
- Que ya tenemos suficiente de excusas. No es más esfuerzo pasarse a GNU/Linux que enfrentarse a la policía en manifestaciones, afrontar desalojos o sufrir cotidianamente el sistema que nos ha sido impuesto.
- Que pasamos a la acción directa: todo ordenador que nos encontremos con Windows será inmediatamente convertido a GNU/Linux, sin piedad.

We, the members of the Escamot Espiral (Swirl Commando), hereby EXPOSE:
- That we've spent years trying to convince Social movements in
Barcelona and roundabouts about how using free software is a more
ethical, more socially just and more coherent option than using
propietary operating systems like Windows or Mac.
- That seeing we won't offer technical support (which you don't
get with propietary software either) they keep dragging their feet
saying that computing is just a tool, that they don't have time to
learn free alternatives.
- That many social movement activists use as email provider
hotmail, gmail or yahoo, exposing our communication network to big
multinationals and turning their back on self-managed servers.
- That files in propietary formats like Word, PowerPoint or Excel
keep being sent while there exist very similar free alternatives.
Hence we hereby DECLARE:
- That we're fed up of being "those Linux freaks"
- That enough is enough of allabies. There is no more effort in
switching to GNU/Linux than facing the police in demonstrations,
enduring evictions or daily suffering the system imposed upon us.
- That we're stepping into direct action: Any Windows computer we
find will be immediately and mercilesslly converted to GNU/Linux.
